I am just soooo excited! Many of you know the major issues we've been having with the bedding in Trent's room. I say "we" because both the Grandmothers have been suffering right along with me. In fact, they have been putting up with my rants about hating patterns and avoiding clutter and not wanting this and never wanting that. They are saints! Early on, I picked the "Chase" bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. We all started hunting it down to no avail. The company had discontinued the product shortly after I put all the stuff on the registry. Even still, Mimi and Nauna tried hard to make it happen. They bid tons of money on Ebay and called every Pottery Barn. I believe my mom even sent a letter to the company. Still, we had to pick a new set. The blue set shown in the first blog was the alternative.
The other day I went to take my registry down from PB and noticed it said, "fulfilled." I figured they knew it was cancelled and made it so no one could order it. Nope!! Aunt Mildred, my father's aunt, had bought the bedding and had it monogrammed. She purchased it right before they discontinued it. Knowing she would not be at the shower, she sent it to my mom yesterday. Of course, I drove right over to take a peek! I LOVE IT!My favorite parts are the mobile and his name (monogram). It now looks like a little boy's room.
I talked myself out of it for so long just because I found nothing else I loved. Now, Trent has it. I set it up last night...still needs to be ironed and situated better, but its there. Scott and I are so happy with it. It is exactly what we wanted. How wonderfully unexpected. Here are some pics I took with my phone. Better ones will follow when I have more time.
