The day after Ryan's graduation was Father's Day. I love celebrating at our house because there are only a few times I can muscle my way into treating the people who do the most for me to a relaxing party. We also celebrated Scott's birthday while the families were together. I made these cool cupcakes for him to try to be original. They turned out fun and were a hit.
I try to tell Scott what a wonderful father he is as much as I can. There are so many times that I am ready to fall asleep at night and make lists in my head about all the blessings he has brought to me and to Trent and to his friends and family. He's such a modest guy, but he is so strong and wonderful.
The Father's Day tribute would not be complete without mentioning the amazing man that is my father. Day in and day out he makes my life easier and loves me more and more. I am always in awe of my dad's ability to care for Trent and everyone so expertly that it appears effortless.
Granddaddy Ray and Trent get along famously. As I start to get to know Scott's dad a little better, I can see where Scott gets his patience and his wisdom.
Man, Trent and I are lucky, aren't we?
