- When he runs laps around the house he starts in the kitchen and runs as fast as his little chubby legs take him through the foyer, the living rooms, and the dining room. He will literally do that until he completely collapses and lays face down on the hardwood floor smiling and panting.
- His way of showing excitement when someone he knows enters the room is to yell "Jump!" and start jumping up and down as hard and fast as he can at the time.
- Trent has a way of snuggling up so tight against me that we fit perfectly together in those rare moments he is still. His little head gets all sweaty from my head against it...he always pats my hand as we relax that way.
- When he wakes up from a nap, I watch him on the monitor playing with his blanket and talking and singing quietly. I love seeing those moments of content when he thinks no one is watching.
- The echoes of his laughter and screeches in the house are genuine and pure and innocent.
- Any time he hears the word, "Ready" he screams," go." Its a rule.
- If I am busy doing something, he comes over to me and says, "hands" and holds my hand as he guides me through the house jabbering.
- He points out body parts on himself and others at least ten times a day.
- When the wind blows, he throws his head back and grins a toothy smile as that wind flows through his hair.
- He loves to pour water on anything and into anything at all. He makes an adorable face as he does it and tries hard to make it into whatever he is using without spilling any.
- He sticks his head into the water of the water table and smiles as it flows down his nose.
- Trent learned to say, "I farted," or " Eww, you farted."
- He throws away his own diaper after we change him, but not before he sniffs it and says " Whew Tinkty!"
- As we sing happy birthday, he fills in the pauses with a fist in the air and a big "YAY." I swear, that's my Granny.
- Some of my favorite moments with him are shared in the hallway upstairs. He runs there naked before his bath, spins in circles and gets dizzy when I am cleaning, jumps into piles of laundry or blankets, and screams over the side to hear himself. That hallway is also where I receive the most kisses. He runs as fast as he can to my open arms and hugs me tight and laughs as I grab him.
- He sings the alphabet song wherever we go and greets everyone with, " Hi, Baby!"
- I am secretly happy when he wakes up in the middle of the night now. I miss him.
I could go on forever. I just wish I would have the time to blog about these feelings on the daily basis, but instead I save it all up. Hopefully, you, and eventually Trent, see just how much I am amazed by his happiness, enthralled with his every move, and excited to watch him grow.
Happy Birthday, my little T. Mommy loves you.
