When Trent woke up at 6:15 a.m, Scott and I would come downstairs to make him breakfast and watch some TV. Then, we started prepping for the beach day. Scott readied the gear, while I got myself and Trent together. Swim diapers on!

The walk to the beach is only about 3 blocks, so we were able to get there with ease. Each day, we were all set up by 9:15 and Scott and Trent were in the water by 9:20. I set up the stuff. Thank goodness my husband loves the ocean. I do too, but Trent is scary in it. He loves going under and letting waves hit him. Too much for me. Scott was able to play with him in the water while I took some pics and prepared for the next phase.

Trent and Scott played and played until Trent asked for a snack. That usually happened around 1045. He ate so quietly in his tent. I was so shocked about how much use we got from the tent. Last year, I packed it every time and he never he looked at it. He seems to enjoy it now that he values his naps!

You guessed it, melt down time came next. I am really a lucky mom though. His crying was only about 5 minutes. Here, you can see he was asking to get back into his stroller after his snack.

My favorite part of the beach time was after melt down when he got up onto my lap and I covered us with a towel and he slowly fell asleep. Scott took him out of my arms and placed him in the tent for a nice (2 hour) nap. This kid knows his mom well. Check out how he ended up laying on the towel with his name on it. Looks like an ad. Also got the curls I love so much.
