Farm Fair 2009

We took Trent to the Farm Fair for the second year in a row in the hopes that he would get to see some animals and get excited. Sadly, as you can see from the picture, Trent was suffering from swimmer's ear and we didn't know it. He was a little cranky (and has been) but he perked up a little when the Farm Fair Queen gave him a lollipop. Once that kicked in, we were good to go!

He sat on a tractor and said, "tractor!" He stuck with that lollipop for the whole time, though!

After the tractors, we saw the exhibit from the Burlington County Library. WARNING: I am about to brag about my intelligent child: Trent walked over to the display and READ the colors on the rug. He then counted to 24 for the ladies and sang the alphabet song! As if that wasn't impressive enough, he personally pointed out each letter on the rug for them. They asked how old he was and was surprised when I said he was only two. Ok, I am done bragging (for now :)
We took a look at some cows, but Trent really wasn't into it at that point. It was the hottest day ever and he still wasn't feeling good. We grabbed some ice cream for him and headed home for nap time. I wonder when I will stop dragging him to Farm Fair. I make Scott and Trent go because I loved going when I was a kid. Hopefully, he will like it more next year!
