Not really sure why this picture is coming out so small, but maybe you can click on it and see how cute it really is. All I had with me was my phone when I snagged this, so I doubt the quality is fantastic. Regardless, the message this there. My little man is growing so quickly! I also get a bit sad when work starts again. Not because I don't enjoy my job, but because I don't want to miss his little life. We have come a long way since that first school year I headed back.
Trent was only five weeks old then. Now, at two years and almost two months, many things have changed. He repeats everything we say ( even bad words), he is starting to have longer periods of independent play, and he loves the computer and playing outside. A far cry from the three naps he used to take for my dad before. One thing that hasn't changed is the fact that he is awake all night..still.
Tonight, Trent went "pee pee on his potty." Perhaps that is why this blog has a bit of a reflection to it. He amazes me each day. As I head back to school, I am reminded of just how lucky I am to be able to go back to work and know he is taken care of in the best possible situation. I am quite comforted by knowing that all the new developments and "firsts" for Trent are done in our home, with his Poppy right there.
So, here's to another learning year for Trent and me. I am eagerly anticipating the lessons he will teach me.
