Officially, We Welcome, Cole James McNeely!!

Cole's birth was really different! The whole pregnancy was really different, actually. I was able to get a lot of pictures this time since it was not an emergency situation like Trent's birth. I didn't have any belly pictures taken, but this belly shot is one I did right before I went to the hospital on May 2.

Scott and I arrived at Virtua at 530 am on May 2 to prepare for the surgery. Scott was dashing in his scrubs. He joined me once I was all numb and ready in the operating room.

The c- section began at approximately 740 am and Cole James McNeely was born at 755 am. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. and was a lot smaller than I thought. The nurses told Scott to take some pictures. I am so excited to have these for Cole. We certainly didnt have them for Trent :(

Once Cole was born, the rest of my surgery started (Tubal Ligation). The best part was when Scott and Cole joined me for the 30 minutes that procedure took and I was able to look at him and touch him ...wonderful!
The nurses were super sweet and reminded us to take a picture of all of us. One nurse, ( Patty) posed us and took the picture in the recovery room. It was nice to be awake this time. Cole has a "stork bite" on his forehead that will supposedly go away by 6 months-18 months. He was so alert and awake when he was born and he has quite a set of lungs on him!
My parents and Scott's mom joined us in the room once I had nursed Cole for the first time. It was just amazing to see them with the baby.

Scott and I were so excited for Trent to come. We even had a major current event for Cole's scrapbook!

My mom made tons of adorable hats for Cole and this was my favorite one. Trent came to the hospital after preschool was over that morning and met Cole. You all saw the video from their meeting, but this was the first kiss. I , of course, cried. Trent is just the nicest child ever!

In the next post, I will show pictures of all the visitors and more of Cole's first days. Until then, I just want everyone to know how thankful we are for all the loving wishes, support, and blessings we have received. Cole and Trent are lucky boys to say the least.
