I woke up this morning and truly thought I had been dreaming about yesterday. When I realized I wasn't dreaming I started to tear up. Scott gave me the most amazing birthday I have ever had. I can't describe to you just how wonderful everything was. First, he took the day off to be with me. I thought that was enough. Then, he gave me Microsoft Office for my MAC. Better still, it was the student -teacher addition that I will use at school. Finally, and this was tremendous, he had reservations at Morimoto in Philadelphia. Those of you who know me well know that I am a huge Iron Chef fan. I can watch for hours. Never, in a million years did I think I would be lucky enough to actually eat at an Iron Chef's restaurant. All day, I looked up the menu online and dreamed about how incredible the night would be. I went and bought a new dress (thanks for the gift card Aunt Cindy) and got ready to leave.
Scott looked so handsome. The minute we stepped in to the place I almost started to cry. IT WAS FANTASTIC. Scott ordered us the best bottle of wine and the largest taster menu. I was bummed when I realized I didn't have my camera, but we made it with our phones.
The food was inicredible, the atmosphere was spectacular, and my husband...beyond words. I felt like royalty. Each time a new course came (there were 8) we waited for each other and ate them at the same time. It was crazy. As I am writing this, I realize I can't do it justice in words.
Turning 30 isn't so bad. Scott loves me, Trent loves me, and I am one lucky lady.
