This summer and maternity leave has been great for so many reasons. One of those is that my friend Megan and her son Zack have been able to come by a lot more than they ever have. One this particular night, I called Megan to see what she was doing and she came right over with sparklers for the boys. We were right in the middle of blowing up what Trent calls " The Party Pools," when they arrived. Scott took a dip and so did Trent.
It wasn't long before Zackary joined the fun with the hoses and the pools. Since it was 4th of July weekend, it was super hot and kids had a blast.
Look at these two! It makes your heart smile, right? I especially enjoy watching the boys together because just like Megan and I, there are tons of laughs, lots of hugs, and a terrific friendship going on between them.
Once the water fun ended and the boys changed into their PJs, Megan busted out the sparklers for us to enjoy. Trent loves them and it was super sweet of Megan to let us use up all her sparklers. Zackary was exposed to them for the first time and seemed to really like them as well. Proud mom moment: Trent made sure Zackary didn't burn himself and watched carefully as he played.
Megan is such a terrific mommy!
Notice Trent's third costume change? He jumped in the pools again while we were getting cookies for the boys... that's my kid!
