Trent is Five.

Lots of mustaches! I picked the theme for Trent's party after someone gave him mustaches for Christmas. He wore them often and I thought it would be cool. I set to work on Pinterest, but found ideas that worked and made them my own. The wreaths were made from mustache duct tape I found at 5 Below and a felt cut out I drew and glued on.
I put signs around the house that had mustaches. All the kids could choose from a bowl of mustaches to wear during the party. The favors were chocolate lollipops in the shapes of three different mustaches. I poured them myself, but they are also available on Amazon.
Lauren found Matt Cadabra, the magician, for Emily's birthday and I knew he would be perfect. The kids had a blast with the live bunny and the fun tricks. I liked that it was easy for me...no games to think up:)

He made balloon animals and took volunteers from the audience. This year, we did Trent's preschool friends and his cousins. It was just the right size with the kids and the adults.

The cupcakes were on the tower I purchased for Cole's party. I just redecorated it with a mustache and some tape. I made Trent's shirt from a mustache clip art and purchased iron on transfers for the shirt.  Aubrey modeled the lollipops at the end.
On Thursday, I invited the family over for Trent's actual birthday. I made a huge mustache cake for him for that. It was funny looking but I liked doing it. This party planning is stressful, but in a good way!

Trent's gifts included a 3DS, a Hess truck and car, a new golf bag ( will post pics of him golfing), items for the pool, DS games, money, candy and school supplies. He made out great. I liked having the two little parties.

Cole enjoyed himself, but was sad to be left out of the candle. Scott lit a candle for him to blow out. He is getting so big. Look at all that RED hair.
 My happy birthday boy!
I wanted to get some pictures of just Trent for around the house. Here, he is posing with his mustache balloons!
Close up of the cupcakes. I used chocolate to draw mustaches as the cake toppers and made a simple buttercream icing and chocolate and vanilla cupcakes in themed wrappers.

A view of the food and of the view into the living room. I went with letters instead of a banner. I am happy with that decision. Below is the funny touch I read about online. I went around the existing photos in the house and put on vinyl mustaches. It was hilarious.

 More signage

Bathroom decor rounded everything out in the house. I created mustache straw from card stock, tape and straws I ordered online. Even cooler, I found vinyl in the scrapbooking section of  Jo Ann Fabrics and cut it out for custom window clings. No more gel for me!

Above, the mustaches I made for the cupcakes. Below, Aubrey and Brian and Matt Cadabra and Jake.

 Aidan and Ava!
Nate and preschool moms--love my new friends...they are great.

What an awesome time we had. I cried a little about Trent being five, but being his mom is truly a gift from God. I loved watching him enjoy the special days.
