Shout Outs to My Girls...

I went to Megan's bridal shower today. I promised a shout out to my faithful blog readers, Wendy and Carolyn. It was so exciting to hear that you read the blog. Wendy, it was wonderful to spend time with you again.Thank you!

So, Carolyn and I were talking about the baby food and eating etc. Found this for you, Carolyn. I am still a bit confused about how to feed Trent. He really only likes to eat oatmeal and fruit. Everything I am reading as of late tells me he should be eating more types of food. I swear to you-he gags on everything else. Alas, I am a push over and continue to give him what he likes. Even more ironic was my idealistic view of creating my own baby food. When I was pregnant, I saw my friends make food and make it look easy. Of course, not wanting to be outdone, or "out mommed" I just knew I too, would create my own special food for Trent. Here we are. Eating Gerber and Beechnut fruit. No where to go but up, I guess.

Part of me worries he won't eat other things. The other part likes that he is still a little baby who needs comfort foods and a good spoiling from his mommy.

Food

We are reading all about sleeping.I really thought everything was going well with it until I read that he should be sleeping through the night at this point. One of the suggested things to do is create a stable routine. Although we do try, it seems the routine is always interrupted by something or someone. We have been good lately. Feeding lots and lots and still more food at 5:30 until about 6-6:15pm. Then play a little. After that, bath and bed. This week we have had more sleep than ever. Here are some pics of him eating...What a mess!

Trent the Builder

Trent has been having a whole bunch of fun at his Nauna and Poppy's house this week. I am usually pretty strict about Trent staying at our house to keep his routine, but this week is different. He had to supervise the remodeling that is being done at my parent's house.

My dad is so wonderful with Trent. I am so blessed he was able to retire to take care of him. These pictures are from the last two days. I came to pick Trent up after school and my dad was feeding him on the porch. You can see him smiling as he eats. On most days he is so happy and smiling that we can't get him to completely finish a bottle. The last picture is just me getting entirely too close to him with my camera. I just like it!

Some of you faithful checkers of the blog might have noticed the ad in the corner of the page now. Its a feature I added that I hope will pay off. Please click on them. There are some good ones and it helps Trent!
